Areas of Focus

 Our parenting initiatives assist families in identifying their strengths and resources within the family unit that could aid in building stronger parent/caregiver relationships with their child(ren). Our practice adopted the Circle of Security Model that focuses on training parents/caregivers with many different backgrounds and from many different disciplines to help connect with the children in their lives. The Circle of Security figure is a central visual used as part of interventions for caregivers, all of which are focused on helping caregivers reflect upon children’s attachment needs to promote secure attachment with a child. 

We offer two service options to families: an 8-week, 1.5-hours Circle of Security parental training course and Family Coaching, these services can be paired together if desired. We have a team in place that will help serve your family and provide the resources needed to establish support and ensure attachment needs are met.

 Our summer Shadowing and Internship program offers opportunities for high school and college students to begin exploring their career goals through job shadowing and internship placement. The goal is for students to experience their desired career firsthand to determine if it will be a good fit for them. Students MUST complete 1 of the offered My Journey to Becoming Me courses and/or be a member of College Connect in order to receive placement at any job site. 

 Students completing the My Journey to Becoming Me course will have opportunities to go on college tours and attend local College Fairs to explore their college options. 

Personal Development Services. Youth and Young Adults attending our mentor program will be encouraged and supported in developing: the confidence to choose better, express their needs in effective manners, how to ask for help, how to move through their emotions, social skills, self-awareness, confidence, and decision-making skills to become The Who I (they) Want to Be.  

Tailored services for young adults past high school (H.S. Grads heading to college included) to offer networking opportunities amongst each other and business leaders in their community to support them in getting a great start to their college journey. The network is designed to assist students with navigating their first year of college classes, social freedom, and independence away from home. Students are also assisted with internship and job placement in the Pee Dee and surrounding areas, to support them as they transition into adulthood.
